This machine is awesome. Intensity level for the Max interval program can be as tough as you want to make it. After 4 months of heavy use, the 14 min workout is still intense. Two drawbacks are the price and the roller wheels. At $1000, its a bit more spendy than I was originally looking at for an eliptical, however still not the most expensive eliptical on the market. You just have to take a leap of faith as you don't have a chance to try it before you buy it. The roller wheels is the biggest flaw. If not for the design issue, this machine is well build. After a month or two of use, the wheels start to squeek. Bowflex does have a maintenace fix, however i have only seen it as temporary. Bowflex should save face on their almost perfect machine by redesigning the rollersand replacing them. When you pay $1000, you expect better quality.

Not for a beginner

This is a quiet, compact unit. I would suggest it for someone who is already fit and wanting to up their fitness level. It is a challenge for the beginner like me.

I work out everyday on my Max 3. I have had it two weeks and am up to 40 min on level 1 resistance. I love it. Have already seen obvious upper and lower muscle growth. I would recommend it to anyone. Not a device for the beginner. Extreme cardio.I love it.

This product is user friendly and you can feel the benefits as you step. It is an incredible workout and I am getting stonger everytime I use my machine. I am pleased with the possibilites the machine offers as far as fitness and the low impact is a terrific feature. Treadmills make my hips and knees hurt and I knew I needed something different.

I use the Bowflex Max about 5 times a week and I love it!! I have just been using it for about 2 weeks now. At first, I wondered if it was going to be too much for me, but I am now (after just 1 week) doing the full 14 minute Interval Training program and will now just work on working out with more resistance. Great workout!!

Hi Pat! There isn't any minimum height requirement to use the MAX Trainer M3. I, myself, am only 5 feet tall as well and have no problem using this machine. As far as if this machine is a good choice for you, we highly recommend that you check with your doctor regarding your particular exercise needs. The Bowflex MAX Trainer M3 is a very popular machine, largely because it is designed to be very low impact. However, your experience is subjective, so we cannot determine whether or not the machine would be right for you. We highly recommend seeking professional assistance before making any decisions regarding a purchase.

I was just wondering what the warranty for the Bowflex MAX M3 cover? I also read the reviews and saw that some of the bowflex users were saying that it begins to squeak in a month or two, does it really? Thats the problem I'm having with my eliptical. Oh and how much does it wobble?

Hi Jenni! The MAX Trainer M3 carries a 1 year parts warranty in which any part on the machine will be replaced free of charge within the first year of purchase. It also carries a 90 day labor warranty where we can send out a service provider to replace parts on the machine that weren't part of the original assembly process. The customer will be charged a minimal trip charge in the event a technician needs to be sent out. The squeaking issue you mentioned doesn't affect all machines and is handled on a case by case basis should the need arise. The MAX Trainers are very sturdy machines and really don't wobble at all in my experience.

Hi B! To calculate the minimum ceiling height you'll need to use the Bowflex MAX Trainer M3 comfortably, add your height plus 15 inches. The pedals, at their heighest point, will be 15 inches from the floor.
